We regret to announce that because of management and delivery problems at the factory and inadequate service levels from the U.S.-based factory representatives, we are no longer ordering any new guns from the Huglu Cooperative in Turkey. This includes both factory production models AND our SGr Custom Deluxe line. We are working still to fulfill all orders that have already been placed, and all DeHaan warranties still in effect will be honored. Our business instead will become a specialist gunsmithing shop for Huglu-manufactured shotguns.
This move saddens us here at DeHaan Shotguns, as we feel the factory craftsmen are extremely talented and can make an incredibly great gun for the price. But not being able to count on prompt, accurate deliveries of guns has hurt our ability to maintain our commitment to customer service, which is and always has been our top priority. We would rather cease selling guns than have our clients continually frustrated by the Huglu factory's delays and broken promises.
We are investigating some new manufacturers, but this is understandably a long process. We will continue delivering those SGr Custom Guns already ordered from us. For now we are shifting our emphasis to gunsmithing (see our new web page Gunsmithing), and of course we will continue to honor our warrantees for their full life and service beyond.
There are still a very few guns left in inventory which we are clearing out. Any guns that we have available will be posted on the bottom of our SGr Custom Deluxe web page. SGr Deluxe Please do not call asking about other inventory. Everything we have for sale will be posted.
I am very sorry to say goodbye to a business which I spent ten years building, and which experience has proved provided our loyal customers with an excellent product. We sincerely appreciate all the clients who helped make DeHaan Shotguns a success. A special thank you is also due the employees who were so vital to upholding our company's service standards. Please remember that we are still here to serve your gunsmithing needs for all Huglu-manufactured over-under and side-by-sides. These include all Turkish guns marked Huglu Kooperativa, Huglu USA, H-Legacy, DeHaan, and CZ USA.
